The Magic Shop is the story of Alec Gavins.  When Alec gets his first summer job, his only goal is to make enough money to buy a car.
What he gets instead is a magical amulet that begins granting his wishes, but always in unexpected and sometimes hilarious ways.
Alec finds that the amulet once belonged to Alexander the Great, and he becomes involved in a search for the lost tomb of Alexander.  Action, romance, and magic ensue.
